About Dr. Marvil
Dr. Lisa Marvil grew up in Loudoun County, had her first pony by the time she was three, was a member of the Loudoun Hunt Pony Club and attended Lovettsville Elementary, Blueridge Middle School and finally Loudoun Valley High School.
It has always been her goal to return to Loudoun County, where she has such fond childhood memories, and raise a family of her own.
After graduating from Harvard--where she was the recipient of the Quintessence Award for Excellence in Clinical Periodontology, she received a Masters degree in Health Sciences and a Certificate in Periodontology from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was chief resident in her final year.
Her research interests include laboratory research in mucositis secondary to anti-neoplastic treatment and clinical evaluation of long-term implant survival rates. Dr. Marvil is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
